Since we are a specialty facility, there are patients that fly in from around the world to have their Liposculpture procedure with the MyShape Team. Our patients come from all nationalities, body types, shapes, sizes and socioeconomic decent. With our personal approach to medicine, our staff is encouraged to develop very personal relationships with our patients and in doing so, we have heard some very interesting stories. We felt that other potential patients would be interested to hear them as they may be able to relate to them. We enjoy the stories and hope you do too.
Mr Wonderful: This gentleman has a great story. He has chosen to donate one of his kidneys to a friend, who is the son of his mothers (who has passed away) best friend. This friend is 52 and has been on dialysis for 2 years and has not been able to find an acceptable donor. The main reason why he chose to donate his kidney to save this gentleman was that he has a 10 year old son and this has touched Mr. Wonderful. Mr. Wonderful feels that at age 10, this is the most important time of the young boys life and he needs the guidance and mentoring of his father. For this Mr. Wonderful has chosen to give one of his kidneys to save the boys father. There is one snag, he was told by his doctor that despite he is a great match, he has slightly high blood pressure and it would potentially put him at risk if he only had one kidney. So his doctor told him that he needs to lose weight and get his blood pressure down. He’s tried diet and exercise, but is frustrated with his results. So he chose to get liposuction to give him the head start to get him the results that he so desperately desires. We’ve had some interesting stories here at MyShape Lipo, but this is a very unique story of true selflessness. The thing that really surprised me, is that Mr. Wonderful is a lawyer! If more people had the generosity of Mr. Wonderful, the world would be a better place.
Mr Amarillo Success Story. This gentleman is 55 years old and had his abdomen and love handles treated. He was a very optimistic hard working individual. As a railroad worker, he has done hard labor for over 30 years. Two years ago he had neck pain and was required to have a cervical fusion of the spine. Since, he has put on 20 pounds which he states went straight to his bell. He has tried a variety of diets including the Atkins diet but has not had any success. He says he won’t go to the gym because he’s embarrassed that his old friends at the gym will see how big he has gotten, so he uses an elliptical for an hour a day at his home. It has been very hard emotionally for him to gain this weight since he has been thin and in good shape his whole life and now he feels fat and disgusting. He had almost given up hope when he found our website while searching for solutions on google. There were no expectations that he would be like he was before, but he was simply looking for a kick start to give him some results since diet and exercise have not worked for him. Mr Amarillo was a delight to work with, he had such good positive energy and had a great outlook on life. He really wanted to be our Success Story from Amarillo.
Miss Beauty Pageant: The staff at My Shape Lipo would like to share about a client that truly touched our hearts. She overcame the permanent disability of her beloved father in a tragic accident. She escaped an attempted sexual assault. She overcame the emotional hurricanes that seemed to perpetually plague her life with a positive attitude and the love of her family. She followed her heart and became a teacher. No matter what was thrown her way she did not give up, nor did she loose her faith and love for life.
Her true desire to improve her body began after her bittersweet accomplishment of winning her cities beauty pageant. She was in the best shape of her life and had only a 13% body fat percentage. During this time she was told that her legs were too big. She was criticized for being lazy with her work-outs and or not cutting her portion sizes enough.
She became very discouraged, but continued every effort to slim down her thighs. She realized that her family genes were the culprit and she would just have to live with it. That was, until her friend came across some advertisements for lipo sculpture.
She became very excited, but was extremely discouraged about how expensive the procedure was. She was even considering going to Mexico because she needed to find a price that was in her budget.
She then came across an advertisement for My Shape Lipo and was amazed at our prices. She drove from California with her father for a consultation right away. She said she was blown away by our friendly staff and how comfortable we made her feel. She decided to do her thighs right away.
She loved how at ease she was made to feel through her entire process, and is now considering having more areas treated. She also sent her dad in for a consultation as well. She is very excited about her new body shape and is very satisfied with her entire overall experience at My Shape Lipo.

Mr. Military Doc: We tend to get a lot of military personnel from around the world, but I thought this was a cool story and wanted to share it with our prospective clients. Apparently all branches of the military require that each person go through physical tests as well as “tape tests” where they take measurements of various parts of their bodies. If they do not meet certain measurements, then they are subject to dismissal. This gentleman is a doctor at the local air force base here in Las Vegas. He works hard long hours and has slowly been putting on weight over the years. In the past he has had success with diet and exercise, but recently, he has not been able to get the results required. When we first saw him, his waist was 44 inches, and he needed to get that down to 38 inches within 6 weeks. If he was unable to meet these measurements, then he would be subject to dismissal and apparently they are very strict with these rules despite his tenure with the military. So Mr. Military Doc came to us asking for a small miracle to reduce his waist by 6 inches in 6 weeks.
He had his procedure done just days after his initial consultation in a rush to get the healing process started so he could meet his deadlines. He had his full abdomen, love handles and hips treated. Nearly 4 liters of pure fat was removed from these areas. At the end of the procedure, it was visually obvious that there was a huge difference already, despite the initial swelling. Immediately after the procedure, his waist measured a 40. So he had lost 4 inches from his waist in about an hour!! This was very encouraging and made his goals much more attainable.
We saw him back a week later when he came back with his wife for her treatment, and they were both amazed by the results he was seeing. Although he was swelling from the procedure, he still measured 40 inches. This was very exciting given he was still swollen. We were both very optimistic that he could lose those last few inches with strict diet and exercise.
Ms. Anchorage Alaska. This wonderful woman flew out from Anchorage to have liposuction of her abdomen, and love handles, then fat transfer to her buttocks. She had planned a vacation to Las Vegas as a bonding trip with her twin sister. Interestingly, she did not inform her sister that she was planning on having a liposuction procedure while she was in Las Vegas. Fortunately, her sister was very supportive and helped her throughout the procedure and recovery. Ms. Alaska told us that since she had her 2 children, she has not been able to loose the fat on her belly, and it has bothered her for over 10 years. She also said that she has been self conscious of her flat butt her whole life. Being of African American decent, she felt that she was abnormal having such a flat butt and was extatic to get a little “junk in the trunk.” After having the procedure, she informed us that Las Vegas was only one of the stops on her trip, she was then headed down to Los Angeles to visit her “friend” or was it “friend with benefits.” She was so excited to show off her new body that she left our office dancing and almost glowing with excitement.
Less than one week after the procedure, Ms. Alaska called to let us know how she was doing. She was extremely happy and excited to tell us how good she looks. She said that her belly was nearly flat at that point and she only had mild swelling toward the lower part of the abdomen. She also said that the first thing her friend noticed was her new butt. This would have been impressive by itself, but she said that she did not tell him that she was having any treatments done yet he noticed the difference. She told us over and over how grateful she was and how happy this has made her. She vowed to tell everyone she knows to spread the word of her success and help MyShape Lipo since she felt that we have changed her life and improved her confidence.
It’s people like this that make our job at MyShape Liposculpture so rewarding. It puts a smile on our face and gives our staff that warm and fuzzy feeling knowing that we are really making a difference in our patients lives.
Mr. Navy Seal. This gentleman flew in from Florida where he lived. He was a retired navy seal, and now worked making special deliveries. He said that he retired from the service due to injuries and he wanted to spend more time with his 8 year old daughter. In the past he normally worked out with weights and did cardio on a daily basis. He also stated that when he was younger he did steroids to gain more muscle. A year ago he injured his shoulder and has been unable to exercise the way he did in the past. Because of this, he gained weight in his abdomen and chest. As a side effect of the steroids he has also developed gynecomastia or “man-boobs” as he liked to call them. Because of the extra weight and man-boobs, he avoids taking off his shirt. This has affected his life significantly since he lives across the street from the beaches in Florida and enjoys going out on his boat. He had researched liposuction for months until he came across the website for MyShape Liposculpture.
After the procedure, we received a call from Mr. Navy Seal about 2 weeks after. He said, “Holy s**t, I f*****g love what you have done for me!! My chest looks unbelievable, I was hoping for results like this, but never expected it to be this good. My abdomen is still a swollen now, but the love handles are f*****g gone!! I am so happy, thank you so much.” He was a very interesting individual and was the the type that tells you the way it is good or bad. Which in a way was a little worrisome for our staff, but all the more satisfying to hear that he was so happy with his outcome.
Mrs Sad Boobs. This young lady was a local of the Las Vegas area. She had previously had a tummy tuck and some liposuction done in Mexico and was a little unhappy with her results. During her consultation, she expressed interest in a breast reduction, she was quoted over $5000 from a local plastic surgeon, but was not happy with the idea of having such large scars so she had decided she would have nothing done. When we told her that we could reduce the size of her breasts with only 2mm puncture holes she was very interested. She said that with such large breasts she did not fit into regular clothes, she had back pain from the heavy pull of the breasts, and she was getting grooves on her shoulder where the bra was digging into her skin.
She told us this story about what her daughter said to her that pushed her over the edge to get something done. She said that she was changing in her room and her daughter came in and said “Mommy, why are your boobs so sad? Aunt Jackie’s boobs are always happy, why aren’t yours?” As it turns out, she was referring to the fact that her mom’s breasts hung way down over her belly since they were so large and had so much weight. Her aunt had smaller perky breast which she saw as “happy.” This experience had a profound impact on her which led to a strong desire to have her breasts reduced.
Two weeks after her breast reduction, Mrs. Sad Boobs called to let us know how she was doing and told us a follow up to her story. She informed us that in that short time, she was down from a size double “G” to a size double “D.” She said that she was again in her bedroom trying on clothes that she has not been able to fit into for over 10 years when her daughter came into the room. She was already very emotional because she was able to fit into clothes that she has had hidden in her closet for over a decade. Her daughter said “Mommy, I like seeing you happy now, even your boobs are happy.” As she was telling us the story you could hear her beginning to cry. It meant so much to her to have smaller breasts and her happiness exuded from her. We realize that to many, this procedure can be life changing, but it’s always nice to hear such personal stories of happiness and gratitude for the job that we do everyday.
